Adventures
Valhall is located on the island Krøttøy in the municipality of Bjarkøy (see map). During the Viking Age, this area was under the reign of Tore Hund. The island is home to a diverse flora and fauna. From the highest point on Krøttøy, there is a 360 degrees panoramic view. This is a perfect place to get an overview of all the good fishing spots in the area.
We have boats for rent. You can go deep-sea rafting, view old buildings situated on skerries or experience Krykkjeberget, which is the the largest breeding place for kittiwakes in Europe. You can also rent a bicycle or walk over the bridge from Krøttøy to the neighbor island Meløyvær.
The islands in the area have plenty of sandy white beaches where you can go for a swim, or just sit down and enjoy the midnight sun. In the winter you can observe the Northern Lights dancing across the night sky. Since there is virtually no light pollution on Krøttøy, this is the right place to study the Northern Lights.
